De Summer School voor fotografen is er om professionele begeleiding toegankelijk te maken, om samen en van elkaar te leren, in een intiem gezelschap van maximaal tien professionele fotografen. Als voormalig fotografie agent en businesscoach voor creatieve makers heb ik waardevol inzicht en ervaring opgedaan in thema’s omtrent professionele groei en ik doe graag een boekje open over de zakelijke kant van jouw succes als professioneel fotograaf. In anderhalf uur tijd bespreken we jullie (vooraf ingediende) vragen in relatie tot onderstaande thema’s:

15 juli: Het zakelijke verhaal

Bijvoorbeeld je dayrate voor verschillende opdrachtgevers bepalen, de relatie tussen zelfverzekerdheid en naar je waarde betaald worden, buy-out structuren, onderhandelen, algemene voorwaarden en afspraken vastleggen. 

29 juli: Vrij werk de wereld in brengen

Bijvoorbeeld portfolio projecten financiëren, de wereld van exposeren, kunstresidenties, prints verkopen, een fotoboek maken en financiëren.

12 augustus: Commercieel werk en tekenen bij een Agentschap of productiehuis

Bijvoorbeeld schieten voor merken en reclamebureau's, de voor- en nadelen van gerepresenteerd worden + hoe doe je dat. 

2 september: Je stip op de horizon zonder de weg er naartoe te vergeten

In de laatste sessie wil ik besteden aan het weten waar je naartoe wilt, aan wat je wilt bereiken en creëren met je fotografie. Door doelen te stellen voor over 10, 5, 2 en dit jaar kun je die grootse dromen opbreken in kleinere stappen en onderweg bij kansen invoelen of dit bijdraagt aan jouw grote plan. In deze wat meer praktische sessie gaan we die doelen opstellen. 

* Als je een combiticket voor vier sessies koopt, krijg je 10% korting en een portfolio review van 15 minuten. Tijdens deze sessie bespreken we jouw ambities en doelgroep, en kijken we samen hoe je jouw portfolio kunt doorontwikkelen tot een representatie van jouw werk die daarbij past. 

* De ticketprijs incl. 21% BTW, maar het platform stuurt jou geen bon met BTW. Als je een apart factuur wilt, mag je jouw factuurgegevens naar linda@kumikocreative.com sturen. 

* Omdat ik de groep klein wil houden, zijn er slechts enkele tickets beschikbaar om online deel te nemen. Stuur mij een mailtje op linda@kumikocreative.com als het niet mogelijk is om er fysiek bij te zijn, maar je de sessie wel graag wilt bijwonen. 

* Restitutie is niet mogelijk. Je mag je ticket wel doorgeven aan een collega-professionele fotograaf. 

* De sessies zijn in de basis in het Nederlands, tenzij iemand geen Nederlands spreekt. Dan doen we die sessie in het Engels.

Dit is een commercieel productiehuis met kantoren in Amsterdam, Kaapstad en Lissabon. Hier heb ik mij beziggehouden met de carrière- en portfolio ontwikkeling van 20+ regisseurs en fotografen. Daarnaast heb ik het Eyeforce Emerging mentorship programma ontwikkeld, waar twee jonge regisseurs in Zuid-Afrika en Nederland begeleid werden in hun eerste stappen in het commerciële werkveld. Inmiddels werk ik twee jaar zelfstandig en help ik creatieve makers en ondernemers met hun professionele groei en focus.

Ask Me Anything is an intimate consultancy session for a maximum of ten professional photographers. As a former Photography Agent and current business coach for creatives and artists, I've gained a good amount of experience in professional and career development, and am excited to give you a bit more insight into the business side of your success as a photographer. During 1,5 hour we discuss your pre-entered questions in relation to the following topics:

July 15: The business side of things

For example determining your day rate for different clients, making sure you're paid your worth (money mindset and confidence), buyout structures, negotiating, and agreements. 

July 29: Fine Art Photography

For example exhibiting, art residencies, creating and publishing a photobook. 

August 12: Commercial work and signing with an Agent or production house

For example shooting for brands and ad agencies, the pros and cons of signing with an Agent or Production House, and how to get signed. 

September 2: Your dot on the horizon and inner compass 

In the last session, I want to discuss where you want to go and get with your photography. Defining goals for 10, 5, and 2 years from now is like putting directions into the GPS of your inner compass. It gives direction to your work, your priorities, and your decisions, and helps you make sure whatever you do is part of a bigger plan. During this more practical session, we'll aim to write down your goals.

After three years of designing events at WeTransfer/WePresent incl. collaborations with Marina Abramovic, Antwaun Sargent, and Micaiah Carter, I made the move to creative talent development at Eyeforce Film & Photography. This is a commercial production house with offices in Amsterdam, Cape Town, and Lisbon. Here, I learned the ropes of career- and portfolio development for 20+ directors and photographers. Besides that, I developed the Eyeforce Emerging mentorship program, guiding two young directors through their first steps in the commercial world. Since then, I spent two years working independently with artists and creative entrepreneurs, guiding their professional growth and focus. 

* If you by a combined ticket for all four sessions, you get a 10% discount and a 15-minute portfolio review. During this session, we discuss your ambitions and target audience, and review how you can develop your portfolio into a representation of your work that matches those. 

* The ticket price includes 21% VAT, but the platform doesn't send you an invoice showing VAT. If you'd like to receive a separate invoice, please send your information to linda@kumikocreative.com

* Because I want to keep a small group, there is a limited number of online tickets available. Contact me at linda@kumikocreative.com if you'd like to attend but can't be there in person. 

* There are no refunds, but you can give your ticket to another professional photographer. 

* In default, the sessions are in Dutch unless someone doesn't speak it. Then we switch to English.
